Virtual Reality Experience – Saray Khumalo Mount Everest Event
We were commissioned to create a virtual reality experience for Saray Khumalo, the first South African Black woman to summit Mount Everest.
The activation was part of a Momentum South Africa event announcing her partnership as a brand ambassador. The objective was to create a high-impact immersive experience for journalists and attendees.
A key requirement was to support 20 journalists simultaneously experiencing VR, which presented a technical challenge when using HTC VIVE systems in a confined space. We designed a custom multi-station setup and workflow to ensure smooth operation and safe usage at scale.
We were responsible for:
- Event concept and VR experience execution
- Custom stand and environmental setup
- HTC VIVE multi-headset configuration
- Branding, banners, and visual design
- On-site activation staff and support
